CONFERENCE APPLICATION

(Please read thoroughly before submitting your application.)

Dear PhD Project Conference Applicant,

By now, you have read About The PhD Project, and understand that it was created in 1994 to improve diversity in the business academic and corporate arena by encouraging African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans and Native Americans to earn a business doctorate and become business school professors.

The Project has formed a network of business school deans, faculty members, heads of doctoral programs, current doctoral students and Sponsors from Corporate America. If you are seriously considering the pursuit of a business doctoral degree, you too, can be part of this network.

Our flagship event is our annual conference for potential doctoral students with all expenses paid by The PhD Project. The 2010 conference will be held November 17-19, 2010 in Chicago.

Registration Policy

If you are selected to attend the conference you will be required to pay a $200 registration fee which can be processed via credit card during the registration process. All travel and conferences expenses will paid by The PhD Project (total conference expenses for hotel, meals, materials, and transportation are valued at approximately $1,500 per invited attendee.) Your investment of the $200 registration fee will be refunded if you enter a full-time, AACSB accredited business doctoral program within 3 years of attending the conference.

If you previously attended a PhD Project Conference, you may submit an application to be reviewed, however if you are selected to attend, The PhD Project will only cover hotel costs (shared room with another participant).  You will be required to pay the registration and travel costs.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:The application deadline is September 30, 2010 at midnight.
